My Miata is 13 years old without any major problems. But, we'll see...

the IS350 is more comparable to the TL, not TSX. A fully loaded TSX can be had for <30k OTD, like a IS250. I think a IS350 w/ Navi will be pretty close to 40k.

The TSX costs too much for what it is. You might as well go for a loaded Accord. That said, the new IS is my dream car at this point, so since you can swing it, then go straight for the top. The Mazda3 IS a great value though and I've considered trading in my 04 V6 Accord for one lately. I don't think the 3 will give you the luxury factor but it will definitely give you the.. ahem.. zoom zoom.

i have a mazda 3 as well... but tbh, i like a cushier ride

If your considering the mazda3, consider the volvo s40, they're built on the chassis (so is the new focus) but the volvo gives you a turbo I5 and AWD for less then the IS350 (and most likely the IS250) and right around the price of the TSX maybe a tad more.

...more like 1.8k.

If you're in LA, you can have the 05 TL for 31.5k with destination charge included...tax, document and licence fees are separate. This is thru internet pricing. They are blowing them away to make rooms for the 06 models.

31.5k is a thousand below invoice.

Acura's nav is the best in the business and as you would suspect, it too allows you to enter a destination and use all its functions while driving.

Other Nav systems can do the same thing.
It requires little modification

If it has to be one of those 3, then the IS350. But how did the mazda sneak in? It isnt even in the same category. Oh...i read the whole post...

How about a BMW 3 series? Or perhaps a few year old 5 series? Or a Vette!
