i know this girl and all she does is eat lettuce and celery and drinks coffee and chews gum.

she knows that she has the problem but she can't stop? she isn't doing it for looks because she was skinny before she started this.

Eat a delicious, juicy hamburger in front of her. Show her how you can put the lettuce on it, with a tomato. After that she'll want to go to Fuddrucker's.

She should go to the doc and get her bloodwork done. I'd assume she's not getting enough nutrients and her doc telling her this would hopefully be a reality check.

if you have not talked to her about it, talk with her, if you have, in all honesty, its her body.

while i agree in theory, if she does have an eating disorder...the whole 'its her body' isnt really the issue. i would treat it the same as a drug habit. if you talk to her and cant get anywhere, talk to her friends and cant get anywhere, consider some sort of intervention and then its all on her.

i understand, and i would want to try and get my friend help, but unless they realize they have a problem or they are dragged to treatment, talking won't help unless she realizes she has the problem.
