So you're mad that liberals call Trump supporters stupid and set out to prove those mean liberals right?

Amazing!
I love that I posted an intentionally inflammatory thing strictly for the purposes of trolling and then he managed to troll himself better than I ever could have. I think my work in this thread is done.

Disgusting liberals (not all) cant stand the fact they lost & cant stick to the issue without calling trump supporters dumb, So i felt the urge to google "studies conservatives smater than liberlas" and posted it only to find out it was Fake...
Well the OP so far appears to be an even dumber john conner clone....so yes he probably is.
Please tell me you're not seriously citing an obviously fake news story as evidence.
and with a few grammatical errors on top of it. Oh, irony....

Fun as it might be to kick dummies while they're down, it's worth recalling that collective tard strength won the election.

We all know that property theft taxes are the worst tax there is. That said, 50% of property taxes generally go to schools. This is INCREDIBLY punitive to single people and childless households.

Is there anything Trump can do at the Federal level to lower local property taxes? What effect, if any, will school choice, education vouchers, etc. have on them?
Trump doesn't give a damn about your property taxes. The proper question should've been what can Trump do to lower his property taxes? This is the question I expect for him to work on among other self centric things like finding ways to skirt nepotism and other pesky laws that stand in the way of he and his family prospering off the backs of people to propel their own self interests.

That isn't what the Fed Gov is there for. That is a local issue only.

So, No.

Pass laws forcing more teleworking and leave the cities to rot. There is absolutely no reason for most people to commute into a city just so their ass can be physically in a chair at company HQ. 95% or more of those commuters would love to never have to travel to the city again. The very fact that millions travel for 8 hours to Manhattan and leave immediately when their workday is over is more evidence that suburbanites would love to let the city FOAD if they had the choice. For suburbanites, the city is the equivalent of the DMV, somewhere you don't want to be and don't go to voluntarily, but are force to because you need a drivers license (or to physically travel there because your employer demands it).

So in other words they depend on the city to live. You're welcome, suburbanites. :)

I agree. Even as a software developer it is very hard to get employers to allow me to work from home on an emergency basis. Only 1 contract job I did allowed it with no problem for about 6 months. Was great! Being able to work from home through a VPN for development was so much nicer.

First, property taxes, like all other use taxes, are the most equitable of taxes. You are being taxed for what you are using, ie the government required to protect your ownership interest in the property (fire, police, infrastructure, etc), and your tax rate is determined by the public benefit you are receiving, ie your tax amount typically goes up only when your property value increases, which is generally the result of the aforementioned public services increasing the desirability of property in your market.
Second, the benefits of public education are not limited solely to people with children. An uneducated populace is directly correlated to increased crime and poverty, which in turn would have a negative effect on your property values.
If you doubt this, feel free to look at the property taxes of wealthy communities vs poor communities. The wealthy ones pay more and get more. Their tax rates are generally higher, and likewise their schools, parks, roads, and public services and amenities are superior. Just drive through any rich neighborhood and the difference is obvious. And guess what? This creates a feedback loop that makes those communities more desirable, while the exact opposite is true of poorer communities.
So, in closing, you're an idiot but please feel free to implement your idea in your own local community. That would only help mine.

I suspect that while you respect his right to self destruction via his own stupidity you actually wish there was some way to save him from his donkeyhood. Sadly, ignorance and arrogance seem to walk hand and hand.

Sometimes, folks just need to learn the hard way. Luckily, in this case, the feds have little to no control over local taxes and schools, so this experiment will be localized. Most likely though, the Trump administration will try to distort the initial negative effects by moving federal school funding from public to private school systems, in those areas that choose to adopt the latter, which could be problematic.

Trump may actually lower property taxes by crashing the economy and the housing market with higher interest rates to finance his porkulus.

He's actually in a tough situation there. If his deficit spending does increase rates too quickly and tanks the economy, then he and the Republicans will be swept out by 2020. That's why they're going to move quickly on repealing Dodd-Frank.

Probably going to appoint Fed governors that are going to monetize his whole porkulus at low interest rates. We'll get hosed by inflation, but small price to pay for Trump's "Great America."

So you want more dumb people?

Otherwise blame it on those damn kids getting a free education instead of being in workshops like they should be.
A lot of this world's problems are created by the so-called educated people in power who are college educated. The supposed dumb people cannot destroy the world. They cannot eliminate the world's population in minutes.

The education they are receiving is selective, narrow and often confusing. It is not teaching kids about critical thinking or being independent. That is one reason our society is the way it is. Of course there are benefits to education but we need to look at the flaws if we want to fix them.

Throwing money at schools isn't always the answer. It is a complicated subject.
