What can it be?

I have tried 2 different cards both the same model just different ones.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814121227

If I leave it on MS default driver that it installs on setup nothings wrong. If I install any nvidia driver anything that moves on the screen stutters. Move the mouse and it stutters, play a movie it stutters, that little circle thinking icon next to the mouse pointer it stutters. I don't know what else it can be besides the board. I have an evga 780i board latest bios. I even have tried the asus drivers. Thing is it was fine a few days ago and then all of a sudden started to happen. Everything has latest drivers for vista x64. My last guess is the board would I be right on that assumption?

I suspect your hard drive to be the problem, if not memory; then motherboard.

Use memtest68 to check ram, make sure you've set all timings and voltage for it correctly in motherboard.

HDTune could show a possible hard drive problem(indicated by terrible performance) but usually the manufacture has a diagnostics program you can download.

Also list full system spec's as one in your sig isn't up to date.

Tested and wiped hdd everything is fine there. But the thing is it doesnt happen until after the driver is installed. I can install audio and chipset driver and nothing is wrong. Its only til I install video driver.

Are you using RAID?
Have you tried setting the 8800GT to it the stock referencer clocks using rivatuner or whatever?

But if its the driver thats causeing it then I dont know what else it could be but the board. I have a few of these cards running perfectly around the house with the latest driver as well.

I am at the same conclusion you came to then, motherboard is the problem. RMA or Replace it with something else.

What manufacture, Eh, nvm. I see it was said in first post. if you don't need SLI i'd say pick up a p35(p45 coming soon, just a die shrink and updated southbridge I believe) or x38/48; perhaps exchange for one?

Wattage doesn't really help, but WHICH psu is key.

I am guessing you have good components though

pc power and cooling. I try to go for the best becuase I do believe you get what you pay for but I do believe there is a limit to that.
