What can I use to convert a DVD to an mpg file?

With the new ability for TiVO to take an mpeg file from my computer and play it, I would like to take a couple of DVD's I ripped, using DVD Decrypter, and convert them to mpeg format.

I own Nero 6, and ULead. Would one of these, Windows Movie Maker, or Shareware allow me to do something like that?

there are lots of tools that would do it. if you're talking about mpeg 1, try tmpgenc.
