long story short:
my delta on my fop38 blew the motherboard header. i hooked the fan up to the other fan header on my pro2a and it turned on, albeit it was spinning very slowly(enough for mu duron too boot though) the computer booted, but was stable, i don't think it is a heat issue because after i found that the fan had stopped, i killed the power and let it cool down(luckly the rear fan on my sx830 had kept enough air moving to keep the cpu from frying. now, the system is unstable, i don't know if there is permanent damage to my duron as i was at school when the header went(could have been at any time from 7:30 - 3) should i get them to rma the duron along with the pro2a and the fop38, or would the duron have to be completely dead for them to rma it? i tried running prime95 to test for errors in the cpu itself and kept getting a BSOD. rc5 ran fine. any advice?(i've never had to do this before). i called up the place i bought the parts from before i tested the cpu out and they said they'd rma any dead parts, but i don't know about partially functioning parts
