What can i expect for cards at the end of the summer? Anyone know?

I know its a stupid question, but i just cant bring myself to buy a geforce 4 now after seeing 3dMark03 annialate my friends cards. My ATI AIW7500 is still doing good. And the new Battlefeild 1.3 update seems to be a lot better then the 1.2 i was running.

I figure wait till school starts next year then waste my $$ on somthing that isant really that hot anymore.

If you wait until the end of the summer you should be able to pick up a GeForce FX (non ultra) for around $150 or so.

Oh no! Low scores in 3dMark means I can't buy a card!!

3DMark is s stupid bench, doesn't tell you how a card will perform in games

I think that just proved my point...

Cards to expect this year:

R350
NV3x
Next Kyro (not using that name tho)

probably won't be able to find much, if anything. Most info right now is just plain speculation. What I can tell you is the non-ultra is .13-micron, ~400MHz clock and 800MHz memory, has 125million transistors.

I don't think any of the review sites got non-ultra versions of the FX. I do believe Anand underclocked the Ultra he got to 400/800 so you can check out that review here. Just so you know it should start off at $300, but by the end of the summer Nvidia will have (hopefully) released the NV35 and ATi should release the R(V)350 with in the next two months and that will drive the price way down on older hardware.

Thanks for the info

Anyone know what to be expecting from ATI in the $200 range for the end of the summer?
