I have a duron overclocked to 860mhz. For some reason when it gets up to around 45 degrees some weird things start to happen. It is like the keyboard sticks or something because letters start repeating. Sometimes the E drive will not show up and I have to reboot. It is things like this. I had it at 1.75 volts then 1.8 then 1.85 but the higher I go in voltage the more problems I have. It seems to be when the cpu is around 45C when things go weird. Other times the computer is fine. What do you suggest? There are many people running durons a lot hotter than that with no problems. I do have the memory on the fastest setting if that makes a difference. I did have the system at 901 but I backed down to this to help with the same problems. I posted here because I some times do not get an answer in the overclocking forum and this is hardware related. Thanks!
Here is my system:

Back off on your settings incrementally- maybe start with the fsb or the memory, see what happens. When you start to see results, you can evaluate your choices, as you will have isolated the problem. Sometimes it takes a lot of trial and error to get it dialed in.

I don't know much about Duron's. But does that temp come from inside the chip or is it just a probe? Maybe you are getting a bad reading? Don't forget also that when you raise that votage... It will cause it to run hotter. If you can bring that votage down it will do good too.

Change that mem setting and see if that helps. And I know WD hd's are not that great for oc'n either. It almost sounds like a os problem.

Does other programs run funny while it's oc'd? If it's a heating problem... It would usualy freeze up. or lock up.

Good luck and have fun. Just be carefull!!!!
