My neighbor's son has recently discovered porn sites on the internet since he is enjoying a 2 week vacation from school for being disruptive. My neighbor would like to block his access to such sites and since I built them the PC he turned to me for advice and never having had to face this problem in the past I have no clue and thus I turn to my trusty frinds here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and please spare me the "sure, it's for your neighbor ;)" comments because I am telling the truth here and I simply need some friendly advice.

Thanks in advance

You'll need some nanny software to block out porn sites. I found this one: http://www.softforyou.com/. It's free. There have been a couple other threads about blocking internet access and nanny software. Search the forum for some more info.

You could block them manually by adding the sites to the hosts file and redirecting them.. or you could go the easy route and get a program like CyberSitter, NetNanny..

Is there anyway of having it so if they try and access a restricted site, rather than just saying "this is blocked" or something....you can have an image flash up on screen....such as the parent looking very angry or something....;)...or a sound clip...?
