What can I do about this?

A few months ago I was given the go-ahead to buy a new computer at work. I ordered all the parts from Newegg, and everything worked flawlessly until a week ago, when one of my memory sticks died. It was one 512mb stick from the Corsair value select PC3200 512x2 (1gb), and I'm almost certain it came in the Corsair packaging.

I tried to get an RMA from Corsair, and they say the memory isn't theirs. Sure enough, the label on the memory stick isn't Corsairs, in fact it doesn't have a brand name at all. The other stick is the same way. Just

512MB,DDR,DIMM,Q
(barcode)
64WQD stk 5542867

I don't have the original packaging, so I can't prove that this is the same Corsair memory on the receipt. I dunno how different memory got inside a Corsair package but thats not something I'd thought to look at when installing it. Am I screwed?

isnt there a way you can go on newegg and see your order history?

if so, explain the problem to them and they might rma it for you...newegg will usually take care of its customers

Yeah that's what I first thought but I vaguely recall seeing this label when I installed the memory (but I didn't think twice about it).

Let's hope so. I just have no idea how the no-name memory could have gotten into a Corsair package. I feel retarded for not noticing it in the first place.
