I was getting tired of the terrible sound that I get from the tiny little speakers on my 20" TV, and I'm too cheap to go out and buy a reciever & speakers
. So as an experiment I yanked the Altec-Lansing ATP3's off of my computer and hooked them up (TV, DVD, and 2 game systems all run into one A/V switch that I've had for a long time, and the sound is run out to the speakers. The whole mess is set up in my bedroom). It sounds *much* better, but the volume from the TV gets too loud too quickly - I don't have much range to work with. Is there any way I can fix this?
PS: The sound from the TV comes from a line-level out with no volume control, so playing with the volume on the TV doesn't do any good. And there is no headphone jack on the TV that I can run the sound from.
