I installed windows, all the drivers, all his programs, shut it down, and go to bed at 3 in the morning.

Put it on this morning, tells me theres an error reading drive c, and to run a registry scanner.

So I booted up off a win98 cd and ran scanreg, it fixed the problem, it boots up now, but nothing is installed any more :disgust:

what the hell!

Hard drive problem?

What else could it be?

Thanks

If you think its the hardrive, crack the case check the hardrive mfg and download their diagnosis tool.

I agree sounds like the integrity of the drive is not very good.

Told me there was a problem with the registry.. Im now doing a full surface scan, see what comes up, so far no errors. I will be downloading the hard drive diagnostic tool soon also
