Question What cable do I need?

I'm getting a new 144hz monitor. I need to know what display cable I need for sure. The monitor is MSI optix MAG27C. Does VESA compatiblr mean anything? Thanks.

The specs on that site state:

Video ports

1x DP(1.2)
1x HDMI(1.4)
1x DVI

What is on the other end?

vesa is the mount to attach it to a wall\ stand. DP is prob best , hdmi cables are likely the cheapest and likely included with monitor . What output does your video card have?

EVGA 1070ti FTW ultra. Ports--HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4 and Dual-Link DVI

DP is the best.

Monitor notes: HDMI (Up to 120Hz)
in other words, HDMI does not support 144Hz.

HDMI is best if you use in monitor/ tv audio. (best for viewing movies)

DP is best if you use 144 hz. (gaming)
