BTW ajpa123, I've never heard of that! I'm going to go look it up, and maybe I can come up with a link. God help me if they somehow migrated to Florida! That is something I would be dreadfully scared of.

Wow!

Dare you to grab this.

Bleh, tarantulas are mostly harmless. They hurt like hell when they bite, but none of them have really dangerous venom. The worst you'll get from a tarantula bite is a couple of days of discomfort, some swelling and itching. If you're going to be afraid of a spider, be afraid of the brown recluse. I love tarantulas and have a pet cobalt blue that's mean as hell, but it doesn't scare me a bit because I know it can't truly hurt me. Brown recluses scare me.

Wasps are %ucking cool :)

I guess there's a reason why bugs and arachnides have been around so long :)

Spiders, that is all.

Never used to be either until I got bit on my foot by one and it swelled up and I couldn't walk on it for almost a week.

ticks (lime disease) i know the odds are low, but still... heh.. and it's not like i can get bitten by one just anywhere.. but you asked, so there you go. :)

SEMI afraid of spiders... i mean. not if i just see one walking across the floor, but a really big one walking on my pillow or something may freak me out a TAD!

Just about everything besides gnats, flies, mosquitoes, bees and wasps. I am especially scared of butterflies and moths.

I don't care if the tarantulas can hurt me or not. I do not want them loose in a room with me.
If I something like that in my house I would get my shotgun, quickly. I can fix drywall.

Never have seen a Brown Recluse around here. I did find a Black Widow once in the basement, that was a suprise.

LOL! This is exactly how I feel about bugs as well.... I would add that my most feared bugs are millipedes and centipedes. Just the sight of those on TV force me to cover my face and scream like a 10 year old girl.

I like butterflies though :)

I should be afraid of poisonous spiders, but there are almost none in my country and none at all in my environment.
I hate big wasps, hornets and bees. Air/ground pollution is getting noticeable in the area, though: I haven't seen one in the past few years!

I believe the first one there is a young stag-beetle. Those are rare and protected by law here. You kill one = you pay a lot.

Spiders are OK--in fact, I like 'em, but I have an unreasonable fear of cockcroaches, cicadas, and these monsters.

Oh-I'm also afraid of no-see-ums, but only because I'm allergic to them.

What bugs am I afraid of?

Bugs hiding someplace, waiting to bite me... like a big furry spider hiding in a pair of my sneakers..
That phobia stems from a big hairy spider hiding in my sneakers and delivering the most painful insect sting I've ever felt.

That reminds me... I had a cricket in my shoe once. I put it on, and felt something moving under my foot, but it was early so i didnt care and went on with my day. When I got home and took my shoe off, there was a huge cricket stain on the bottom of my sock! it wasn't one of those little crickets either.. this one was like the size of a quarter!

Haha, I went to put a shoe on before and a toad jumped out.

Crash bugs from memory leaks... they are sooo hard to track especially when it's someone else's object that's screwing up my objects. :|

errr... wait... different bug... :p

For me it would be flying, stinging bugs like bees and wasps and stuff... cockroaches too... not sure about spiders though 'cos I haven't encountered any really big ones (yet). :D

Cucarachas, definately.

I squished a big, black forest cockroach once and when I went to pick it up w/ a paper towel, it magically came back to life and started crawling up my arm. I'll die a happy man if I never hear the girlish screech that came out of me that day.
