What dominant breed/s are in this 5-6 month old kitty? Adoption co. just told me "domestic shorthair" which means obviously, an unknown mix w/ short hair. I know nothing about cat breeds, other then she has much more triangular facial features, a really long tail, and a long lean slender body. All i know from research is that tortoiseshell cats can be any of a number of breeds.

anyway, here are some cute kitty photos.

Truly, I don't know if it's an old wives tale or not but, all the female tortoiseshells I've owned (3) have been sterile. I always thought that was a bonus. Cute kitty!

Looks exactly like my dad's cat. It's the bastard child of a black alley cat and a calico alley cat. I should know, we adopted the whole fucking lot back in the day.

I grew up with 3 black cats and one that looked exactly like yours. Beautiful cat, probably the best looking coat I've ever seen.

EDIT: For those not from the Philly area, alley cat = domestic shorthair. We just call it what it is.
