So far for me it's Western Digital, Acer, Asus and Creative is doing a fine job trying to get on the list.

ATI (drivers) and PC Chips (chipsets with no moving parts going dead for no reason, as a matter of habit).

ATI, for their cruddy drivers and reducing imagequality in Radeon drivers each release to eke another FPS or two...

PC Chips, for their reputation...

Western Digital. In the 10+ years I've been working on computers, aside from one Quantum Bigfoot, the only hard drives I've ever seen go bad are WDs...

Compaq, IBM HDDs (after the 75gpx fiasco), Sony (first round of computers sucked bigtime... have nothing against any other part of their product line, but hte fact that my dad dropped 2.5k for a POS got me pissed @ their computer line), HP, umm....... oh! Kingston, and Iwill.

I can't think of any manufacturer that I've consistently had problems with. I don't like the chip on the ink cartridges for the Epson 777. The only reason I can figure they were placed there was to deter refilling (which has already been circumvented)

I don't use/like PC's from the big companies: Dell, Comqrap, Gateway, etc. All the proprietary junk in them makes working on them hell. Installing chipset drivers on one managed to render it unbootable.

MSI KT133 boards? You're kidding. This K7T board that I'm using is the stablest piece of junk ever. My Tbird 1.0ghz runs really well on this board. Just a year ago, Tbird 1.0 and the MSI K7T Pro was THE combo to have :) But now, everyone wants an XP1900+ and a KT266A board.

Oh, sucky brands: ALi (Acer Labs) (Magik 1 sux), PCChips (my buddy's PCChips mobo is 100% integrated: it has 1 PCI slot), ECS (half of the boards are RMA'd), Intel (P4 sux big time; Tualatin Celeron sux also, even though it's got enough cache).

2. ABIT (KT7A doesn't post w/ my then $200 Geforce2 GTS, I mean wtf? Abit is going down...hard)
