What brand should one buy for GeForce 3?

I currently own a RagePro card and am interested in upgrading to a great card that will last for a long time (4-5 years). I want to be able to play any game out there currently and in the future and so have been interested, as of late, in the GeForce 3 card.

My question is: there are many different makers of the card (or the chip in the card) like nVidia or PNY or visiontek on PriceWatch. Which is the best maker to go with?

Out of the cards you mentioned, get the Visiontek.
But all GeForce3 based cards perform virtually the same, you'd get excellent performance from no matter what card of any brand name you get.

I haven't looked into the cards too much because they are out of my price range, but on my limited knowledge I would want to get the Gainward Cardexpert one. It looks like it has the most features for the price, and it was highly rated by Anandtech.

Throw my 2cents in here, let me start out by saying I had a VisionTek GF3 at first. Sold it and bought a Asus 8200 Deluxe. Well honestly I'm not to happy with the Asus, if you read the article on here on Anand's you will see that it's 2d is close to poor. My Visiontek had much better 2d output then this card, keep in mind though I run at 1600x1200x85hz almost all the time. This 8200 seems to put out a bit of a cloudy 2d text image at this res, don't get me wrong it's readable but no where near as sharp as the visiontek. Now I hear the Elsa and Gainward both have excellent 2d as well, now if that's not a issue to you. Then I'd basically get the cheapest one, unless your looking for Vivo features.
