In my search to find the best 285 GTX to buy I'm trying to work out what make of card I should be buying. I typically buy BFG, but I'm hearing all these good things about XFX and considered changing brands. I was just hoping for a a quick run down on what some of you feel are your top 3 makes of cards.

so XFX is only better than BFG for the Warranty? Beyond that are they equal? Is one manufacturer typically better at over clocking?

Don't buy a GTX285 right now with HD 58xx series just around the corner (September 10th launch).

Consider 4890 / GTX 275 instead.

This.

And all brands are just about the same in my experience. XFX/BFG/eVGA do have better warranties, but the longest I use a graphics card is 1 and a half years, so no need for a warranty. If a warranty helps you sleep at night though, go for it.

I've owned Sapphire, eVGA, MSI, HIS, ASUS, Gigabyte... and they've all been great. There is no guarantee that you won't get a lemon of course, with any brand, but that's just life.

i go for whoever ships out newer cards with RMAs than what you went in usually. in this case, that would be evga. right now afaik they are sending out GTX260s for 8800GTS RMAs lol. wonder what they will be sending out for people with GTX260s in a year

so is your point that the 58xx gen of cards is going to drive the price down on everything else?

Also I currently have two 8800 GTS OC 640 meg cards in an SLI configuration, Is it actually worth while to upgrade to a 275? (not going AMD as my board is SLI, not crossfire and I still can't stand ATI drivers even if I do like the company better).

Thanks for everyone's points on companies, I think I get it, there's no real diff asside from warranty
