I'm looking at a Barton 2500 with a gig of RAM. I will probably overclock it. I'm looking at PC2700 and PC3200 (obviously money is an issue - I want to get good RAM that will overclock, but not for too much). Will I be able to run the PC2700 at higher speeds or should I just go for the PC3200? Also what brand, I'm looking at Kingston's HyperX, GeIL, Corsair's XMS, and Buffalo. The GeIL and Buffalo PC3200 are around $200 to $180. The Kingston and Corsair PC2700 are at similar prices, but cost $60 more for the PC3200. Any opinions? Or am I looking at the wrong things?

stay away from Geil
the buffalo is good as it uses winbond modules
XMS and HyperX are excellent as well

i would go for pc3200 rather than trying to OC pc2700. even if you could oc the pc2700 to pc3200, it'll prolly have very loose timing
