What book(s) are you currently reading?

I like to see one of these every once in a while

I just finished up Dreamcatcher and just got through the second dark tower book last night. My gf really likes Stephen King so I am using her library as access to new books.

I am really enjoying the dark tower series and I am very happy all of the 7 books are out now, I would feel bad if I was one of the people waiting from 1979 or whenever the first book was created! Lets hear what you're reading.

Haven't had much time to read lately, so I'm just trying to finish up A Search in Secret India. I'm also reading a few books in Hindi and Telugu to try and further my understanding of the languages.

So are you studying the scholarly aspects of the language or are you attempting to actually learn the language for some trip?

Both. I'm mostly interested in the scholarly aspects, but being conversant will help as I will be traveling there extensively over the next few years. Long story 🙂

The Golem's Eye by Jonathan Stroud
It's book 2 of the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I really liked the 1st book. This one doesn't seem as good. If you like Harry Potter, you might like these books. I don't think they're as fleshed out as the Harry Potter books though.

Life of Pi (just finished)

The Fountainhead

Illinois Life, Accident, and Health Insurance - License Exam Manual 2nd Ed. <---Highly recommended

I've been on a Neil Gainman kick all month after a friend bought me American Gods... I just finished reading all of his novels and started on Sandman two nights ago.

I saw the movie of this book (a long while back) and thought it was pretty good. I bought the book after seeing the movie but haven't got around to reading it yet.

A guy at work brought it in and said I might like it. I'm a little over halfway through it. I'm enjoying it. I'll probably watch the movie after I finish the book.

World War Z. After that I'm going to finish up my zombie obsession with a few Brian Keene books, then get back into traditional fiction.

I like Stephen King myself... I finished the Dark Tower series last year... (took about 5 years to read all 7 of em).

I just finished The Kite Runner. Which I would highly recommend.

Ayn Rand is my most disliked and actually despised author I have ever had the displeasure of reading. The long long long rantings in atlas shrugged make me want to put a piece of steel between my eyes, hopefully it finds you better.

I'm reading the Zombie Survival Guide right now, and will be moving to World War Z after I'm done.
