What boat is this?

Walking along the harbor walk today in the Boston North End, I looked across the way at the Charlestown Navy Yard and saw a huge Navy boat (entirely silver, smaller than an aircraft carrier but quite big) with the numbers "339" or "399" written on it in big black lettering (it was dark so I couldn't entirely read). I can try to get a picture of it tomorrow, but does anyone know what this might be?

Thanks for the input, but I'm definitely sure this boat has 3 numbers on the side of it. 339, or 399, or something. I tried looking at Wikipedia but couldn't find anything. I'll try to catch the actual numbering tomorrow and grab a picture - the boat is quite big.
