What Bluetooth HRM do you have and how do you like it?

I want to switch from the HRM I have (MIO Watch) and just use my smartphone (Android) to track everything when I run. Currently, I'm using Sports Tracker because I found Endomondo to be too buggy.

Please let me know what brand / model of Bluetooth HRM you have and how you like it. Now that I'm writing this, I realized that it'd be a good time to ask what program and phone you are using it with.

BTW: I'd love to hear about how it works, battery life, if you like it more than a different one, etc...

-Thanks, Ken

I'm back in the market for a BT HRM. My watch was doing an ok job of telling me my Max and Avg HR, but now it has stopped working.

So, is anyone here using a Bluetooth HRM?

I've only used the one I own, so I can't really speak on it compared to others out there. But I have a Polar Wearlink. It's very comfortable, battery lasts a long time, I don't know how many hours I've racked up, but I used it at the gym 3x a week for 6 months and it was still on the original battery last time I used it. I can't comment on the accuracy, but it hardly ever jumps around so I'm guessing it's close to where it should be. It synced quick with my phone and I don't recall the 2 to ever become unpaired during use.

A few times it did get stuck for a few minutes, and there were a few occasions where it reported my HR at 0 for like 4 minutes straight. But it always worked itself out. And I don't know if it was the HRM or my phone that was to blame. But those times were rare. One thing I dug about it was after a few minutes I'd forget I was wearing it, ymmv but the strap is soft and comfortable. And another ymmv, but I never got any chafing from using it. I have a a lot of chest hair and it's fairly thick. I don't know how this effects me never feeling it though.

Dang, I should have mentioned that I have a Android phone. That 60Beat one (and a lot of others) seem to be for iPhone.

Edit: Ooops, I did ask about what phone and what app were being used in the OP.

Sports-Tracker Original for Android

Yeah, don't get one. Their software sucks too.

Could you elaborate a little? I'm not sure what you mean. I *think* you use a Sports Tracker HRM and are telling me not to get one. Which kinda sucks, since I was planning on ordering one tonight. The reason I was ready to 'pull the trigger' on one is because the (2) guys to reply before you both use iPhones, so I'm not sure I can use them for an apples to apples comparison (no pun intended)...
