Not that I agree with a rating system, but...

If the OP can get rated, then the participants should also get rated by the OP. So the scoring system would be like:

Thread Starter: 89% positive (37 votes)
Thread Contributor: 75% positive (118 votes)

Then in your profile you could filter starters and contributors based on a threshold.
