If only we lived in a country that gave a shit about its citizens and small businesses over its massive corporations, we wouldn't have to think about things like this. But hey glad United got bailed out even though it didn't need it at all.
Glad The Kennedy center got bailed out so they could lay off the musicians an hour later.
And yes what an idea not to have any airlines so American's can go back to work after the lockdown is over.
 
So how do you handle door handles?

For me, even pre-COVID19, I always have a clean sheet of paper towel or napkin in my pocket that I use to open doors. Once it gets used, I toss it and grab another one from a restroom or someone's desk.
 
People of this era's sense of invulnerability. Now you have some small sense of how your ancestors felt during the Great Depression and perhaps that's not all bad.

They weren't our ancestors and WWII isn't ancient history. For me it's one generation. I hate how our society views anything older than the last news cycle as pre history.

My grandfather was born at the end of the 19th century, served and was gassed in WW1, survived the dust bowl and depression. When he was born cars were very few and heavier than air flight? No such thing. Some people are in their twenties. I could have said parents, grandparents, great grandparents great great grandparents etc, but that's awkward.
 
I sincerely hope working from home becomes more common. It will reduce fuel consumption, accidents, congestion, and maybe even insurance. Maybe even stress and therefore hospital usage.

Customer is an EMT. Said they're having more wreck calls than normal with less traffic. Go figure.
