I just realized something. Wasn't the previous generation Honda Odyssey very similar, and didn't that fail over here in the North American market?

not even close I sold those they were awfulnot a sporty bone in their body and not nearly the same size or same market.

Looks nice and all, but same engine as Mazda 3? Talk about sheer engine ownage, good luck lugging 6+ adults on a 2.3 liter, 160hp engine...

The engine is one of the reasons I'm considering it. 160hp isn't bad. My folks Chevy Venture has a 170hp V6 and it pulls just fine. As long as the torque numbers for the 5 are reasonable, it'll be fast enough.
