Ya know, one pot 20 minute stuff a little different than chili or hamburger helper

Right now I'm chowing down on some chicken/rice stuff

1lb boiled chicked, shredded
1 can corn
1 can black beans
1 can hot rotel
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning (get old el paso, mccormicks is trash)
3-4 cups rice
salt/pepper to taste

The longest step is getting the water to boil, but altogether takes under 30 minutes, tastes good, not totally unhealthy (you can go easy on the cream cheese/sour cream), stores and reheats well

What are my fellow bachelors eating?

I made hamburgers tonight and they were delicious. The trick is to touch them to see how done they are. A medium-well hamburger should feel like a semi erect penis.

Taco Salad

1 head romaine, chopped
1 lb lean ground beef
1 pk taco seasoning
1 can black beans
1 can black olives
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
crushed corn chips (fritos, tortilla, etc)
catalina style dressing to taste

Tastes excellent and it's easy to spruce up with anything else such as sour cream or whatever, plus if you use fat free dressing and a pretty low fat beef its pretty healthy as well.

I object to the words "salad" and "fat free" in the nerd-bachelor recipe thread. I'm going to let "low fat" slide.

My contribution:

steak
salt
pepper
fire

add salt and pepper to taste. cook steak with fire. steak is done when it feels like boobies.

Fried Spam, sauerkraut, and canned potatoes.

Potatoes go in a small covered pot on the stove under very low flame
Sauerkraut goes in the microwave for 3 minutes
Fry Spam.

When it's all done(~10 minutes), put it on a plate, and eat.

What I sometimes make, especially when the contents of my fridge are starting to become a little past their prime is to make some KD and then chop/mix everything in my fridge into the pot and add some spices to taste. It isn't the greatest but its a good way to clean out the fridge. Usually at the same time I will throw everything out that has gone bad.

Another couple

boneless skinless chicken tenders - as many as you like, in a casserole dish

Put a dollop of BBQ SOSS on each tender and an extra dollop or two in the middle

over at 350 for some minutes

cook some white rice, cut up some of the chicken on the rice, spoon the chicken/BBQ SOSS juice over the chicken and rice

---------------

1 cup broccoli steamed
1 cup cauliflower steamed
1 cup carrots chopped and steamed
3 cups rice, cooked
1lb pork tenderloin, cubed and saute'd

throw it all together, fill your bowl and put on some chipotle tabasco

Nachos. Put them on a plate, spread cheese, put another layer, spread cheese, optionally, add another layer, spread cheese. Put in microwave for a minute or so, then dump half a jar of salsa on the side and dip them into it.

Another favorite are pop tarts. I grew up with those, and they never get old.

Calzone-
Publix pizza dough(Brand and Portion size up to you)
Pound/Roll it out, let it sit a bit, Pound/Roll it out again(lightly coat hands/roller/surface with flour so it doesn't stick like crazy)
Add stuff(For cheese I use a combo of ricotta, parmigiano reggiano, and mozzarella)
Fold over and seal, coat with olive oil
Add to pan in center of over, bake until golden brown (15-20mins @ 400)
*Pre-cook any raw meat or hearty vegetables

Very simple and tastes pretty good

Go get a bunch of all beef hotdogs (Hebrew national is pretty good and you can find them in most grocery stores), toothpicks and bacon. Wrap the bacon around the hotdog and stick toothpicks in it to hold it on. Fry the hotdogs, rolling them to cook the bacon on all sides. By the time the bacon is cooked the hotdogs will be too. When I've done this I usually make a little pico de gallo do put on top of it.

1.)
White rice reheated in the microwave with butter and salt.
Add cilantro and lemon or lime juice if you're feeling fancy. (And if they're available)

2.)
Reheat White rice in microwave, add a can of tuna on top, add soy sauce for flavor.

3.)
White rice with chili and a slice of cheese

Omega Mode.)
Take old rice and fry in wok with olive oil.
Season with Italian dressing
Add veggies, scrambled egg, and/or meat as available
Season with Parmesan Cheese and serve your Italian style fried rice.

+ add sliced black olives, chopped green onions, and sour cream if you got it.

Oh, and simple tasty nachos:

Doritos Ranch (normally inedible by themselves) covered in shredded mexican 4-cheese or colby jack and nuked for about 20-30 seconds.
Taco cheese is too funky, doesnt come out right, and plain chedder isnt tasty enough. Has to be 4-cheese or at least colby jack, ideally the fine shredded so it melts better.
