A bit off topic, but I reached one of my goals this year on Saturday. I finally reached Platinum.

That is, Platinum level in the American Red Cross Donor Olympics. :D I pledged to give blood 4 times this year, but was able to give 6 times. 3/4s of a gallon. I got a nice coffe mug for hitting it too. :D

I have a somewhat rare blood type, A-, and they are always needing donations, so I do what I can to help out. :D

On topic, Not sure now if I will hit the 10K mark by the end of SETI, putting out only 4 to 5 WUs a day now. But I'll give it a shot! The Red Rascal may have lost the turbo and nitros, but she's still chugging along best she can. :D

Hmm, I'm a newbie, but changing to SETI from RC5 bit me with the upgrade bug again! :D Watch out, I've finally got DDR systems all around the office and home now :)

I'd like to get into the top 100 on the team. It may be possible by the end of February for me to do this, but probably not.

I just wish RC5 had lasted a little longer :( I wanted to get to 10 Million and top 500, but missed w/ 9.3M & #511 overall. I did however squeak into the top 20 on the team, so that's all good :)

Well you may do it, you have some good numbers going there!

jatwell, I know the feeling. If RC5 had lasted a few months longer I could have caught up and passed ForceSHO. As it happened, I finished only two places higher than you for the TeAm.

As promised, I switched all my home machines to SETI once RC5 ended. I will be shutting all but one down at the end of this year. The outragious power bills are more than I can take and I've got to sell off some of these machines so I can afford a newer car. It's been a great run while it lasted and I hope that my debt to "The SETI Cavelry" is paid in full.

To be 1st in my registration class. I'm currently 2nd and about 3000 WUs behind.

I still resent you for passing me in RC5 BGOD!!! :p

lol

Nice job there and you've always been great to race around in these projects :)

Thankfully, I only have two computers here at home, so my "fleet" is a little more user friendly for me.

My goals have changed as I have progressed with the project. I had hoped to make top 1000, but the project will end before I get there so my goals are:

30K WUs
TeAm top 30
Top 600 Home Crunchers (Currently #845)
Top 1500 Overall Crunchers (Currently #1956)

What a coincidence, I have A- blood too! :D We're a very special group you know. ;)

Unfortunately, illnesses have crept up at very inoportune times, and so I've not been able to donate blood as often as I've wanted, but I still look forward to hitting the 5 gallon mark.. I'm at like 37 pints now. :)

It currently looks like holding #4 may be as good as we can hope to accomplish but there are still a couple of scenarios that offer even greater heights. :Q

And no I'm not going to divulge what those scenarios may be (at this time). :p :D

Top 30 on the TeAm would be nice, too. :)

I have over 50k WUs and I'm still not at 99.99%, my rank is 99.987% . Hope I didn't burst your bubble!

Well, at my current rate, I should reach 2500 WUs by the end of February, so my goal is 3000 WU :)

Anyway, I'm just a reformed RC5'er and OGR'er and should reach my first 1000 milestone in the next few days. Not too shabby for only 58 days of SETI !!!!!!!

If SETI 2 starts everyone off at the same point, maybe I won't be suckin' such stale air back here in the rear.

After reading the link Assimilator1 provided, I am really looking forward to Berkeley's distributed computing future. It's so AWESOME to realize that I CAN HELP, PERSONALLY with the exploration of our universe! I know I'm doing it now, but to read that helps realize what I'm really doing! :) :D So, so few in the past have been able to explore the unknown world and they were such discrete efforts. This project symbolizes a very important part of our humanity- the quest for knowledge.

And all I have to do is sit at my computer and move my fingers around and I'm helping. :D Zero cost, VERY little time involved in setup and maintenance, using unused computing resources. :)

I've been doing well over 100 WUs a day after just a few minutes of playing with Flexinstaller. That's so cool! :) :D

My goal is still 7500. I've wanted to reach the top 100 for a long time, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen in time.

But you never know... ;)
