what are your idle temps for athlon XP

what are your idle temps for XP1600++ - 2200+

my XP1600 idles at 49 degrees.... what are you guys getting?

My XP1700 idles at about 43C with a system temp of 28C. I'm using an SVC Goldengate w/ 80mm Sunon fan. Using Vcool it will drop to about 33C.

i just reapplied some AS2...

and i overclocked my XP1600 to XP2100 and it idles at 54 degrees... hmph.... what to do what to do.. gonna go strss test it now..my case temp is 31degrees

I got an xp1800+ and my idle temps are 43 C on the cpu and 39 in the case... but I have an alpha pal 8045 so it might make a difference between your system and mine...

holy crap!!!!!!....

i just loaded VCool up.. and at the bottom right where the clock is.. it had 30/54...(im guessing this my system/cpu temp) and suddenly about 5 secs later.. its now at 30/41 ...this is a bit freaky... and i just felt my heatsink and it is cooooooooooooool not warmish/hot anymore.... oh shiz... now my cpu is at 38... is this thing kiddin me?...


and when i highlight it it says CPU: 30 SYSTEM: 38..

so i think this thing is a bit messed up no?

this is pretty cool!... i just did a 3dmark test.... and i got a score of 10191..... while my xp1600 got a 9600ish... and when i came outta the bench... my cpu was running at 56 degrees....then couple secs later it went right now to 38/39 degrees... this proggie seems like it works!

VCool is only for the KT133 chipsets? Bah, nothing for the SiS-735 K7S5A..

My XP 1700+ runs about 35c at idle w/ a Dragon-Orb3 HSF. All though we do keep our house very cool in the summer. Plus I do have five case fans installed also which does help. 😉

PHiuR, it looks like Vcool has the sys temp and cpu temp switched (it does this for me as well), you can swap them back in the options. You can also set it to control HALT detect along with the Coolbit which should drop your temps a bit more.

wow!.... i just booted up in with 1800mhz XP2200... and i was running at 45idle... but i just did the halt thing.. and im back to 40 idle... this is starting to scare me... AIR COOL with a 6 dollar heatsink!... and this fan is a elcheapo t oo =] i will try more tommorrow!... (maybe ill get a faster fan)

With air conditioning on, my CPU idles at 38C and full load at 43C. Without the air conditioning on, it idles at 47C and full load at 53C
