Deep dish with sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom.

Also the toppings must be on the bottom, then the cheese next, then the sauce on top of that.

GOD I have to get to Chicago :(

It's important that all the meat is on the top layer so it get's nice and crisp. Pizza Nova also has a killer garlic dipping sauce I love. Nice pizza ftw!

All the DD's I've had here (granted its south FL - home of NY wannabe's and rust belt transplants come second) - have a thin thin layer of dough after the cheese, then the sauce is on top of that. However I've also seen it on TV with no top dough layer.

Oh and back OT, I had pepperoni today. Much better than the usual Hormel bulk fare that comes with the typical low-end pizza vendors.

This stuff was sliced in the back at least. When you've worked at so many mom and pop pizza joints that you can tell Grande from Bella, Boars Head, and Galbani cheese by the end of the first slice, you appreciate a good quality topping.

Pineapple....interesting.....

What type of crust/sauce do you recommend when adding pineapple to pepperoni/jalapenos?

I'm actually going to second this combo. And on your typical neopolitan thin pie with a basic light roma sauce (always add a touch of sugar to your pure tomato blends) and grande mozz.

Bah to all you 'sausage' on pizza the only REAL sausage I will have on pizza is Chorizo

my local pizza joint serves freshly hand cut pepperoni, chorizo with garlic butter cornmeal thin crust. Outstanding pizza.

err, chorizo is just sausage in Spanish...

I like portobello, hot sopressata and asiago cheese.

another combo is provolone, ham, red pepper (large chunks) and onion

Tropical Spice--Hot Pepperoni, Pineapple, Banana Pepper, Italian sausage, cooked Tomatoes.

Local Family Restaurant's pizza that happens to be my favorite. I pretty much like anything on Pizza, except Seafood. That shit is in the Sea for a reason, quit dragging it out and trying to make me eat it!!! D:

Chorizo is an art down here. Never saw much use in pizza, but I also never worked in spanish pizza shops either LOL. Chorizo is a breakfast meat for a lot of folks. I bet it would work awesomely on a pie.

when i worked at a local joint we made a killer pie.

Thin crispy crust, no sauce but instead slathered that bitch with excessive amount of garlic butter. Extra cheese, pepperoni, crumbled bacon, jalapeno, more cheese. Served with a side of house ranch and a Blue Moon.

Fuck yes.

you win the thread! GOD where is this place? I want this exact pizza :D

As for actual taste - something like:

Pepperoni/bacon

Pepperoni/bacon/sausage

Pepperoni/bacon/sausage/onion

bacon/black olives

pepperoni/black olives

feta/tomato
feta/tomato/spinach

white pizza/garlic

white pizza/spinach

chicken/spinach

My ultimate pizza:
Ham/Pineapple

Gotta be good ham though.
