BF2 had bots?

Yeah,it was single player with bots.Adjust your level of difficulty and your ready to go.Had moments when i had no internet and well it was as good as it could get without being online.

I wish they could bring them back into BF4 or whatever game is next.Haven't cared or finished any single player story since BC2.

Ancient Domains of Mystery (1994)
Freespace 2 (98/99?)
Pirates! Gold (Yes, the one from the 90's without the awful dancing)
SMAC/AC (Best 4x to date imo)
Mechwarrior 4 plus expansions (Bad Battletech but 3 hurts my eyes and MWO hurts my heart)
M&MH VI (Best of the HoMM series for me, even moreso than 3... which goes against the grain)

Forgot to add in COD BO1,the first game i ever registered on Steam.I reinstall this from time to time to bring me back.Outside of BC2 it's the oldest active online fps i play.

I know the BF2 is on life support with unofficial servers but the experience just isn't ever going to be the same again.😡

I guess I really don't, unless I never finished them. Once I've finished a game, I really don't come back to them these days due to there just being so much else out there to experience.
The only ones I recall playing through more than once are LTTP and Mario 1 and 2.

KnightsOfTheOldRepublic_1.jpg

+1 (and recently replayed KotOR 2 as well)
Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3 (in that order)
Fallout 1 & 2 (in that order)
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 (in that order)
Diablo 2 (though it's been a while)
StarCraft 1 & 2
HoMM 2
And recently replayed Age of Empires 1 & 2.

Getting mod to work with this game is the biggest pain ever, even worst than Skyrim. I'm so jealous of those that know what they are doing.
I really didn't - I just went through Gopher's excellent Youtube series (invalidating my own long held theory that there is no wisdom to be found on Youtube) and followed along. Before that, I added some mods strictly for stability and to kill the stutter and micro-stutter; they went smoothly even though it was my first time modding ever. It was only after my second play-through that I wanted to add content mods and thus had to learn how to find conflicts and make blended patches, which makes the process a lot less hit or miss. Also, another ATer (thanks again, Allen!) sent me a written summation of each step in Gopher's series, which made following along MUCH easier and quicker.

There is a new mod manager, Mod Organizer, that is supposed to greatly improve ease of modding and conflict resolution by leaving your base game unmodified and building a unique database for each configuration, with conflicts resolved on the fly. I was going to replay New Vegas with that, but given the Institute content decided to replay 3 instead, with my current mod list, so I haven't yet tried it, but a lot of heavy modding talent are behind it.

Counter-Strike. I've been playing it for nearly 16 years now, and I still play it regularly. Unlike poofy, I hate GO; if everyone stops playing Source, I may well stop playing CS for good.

Beyond that, I can't think of too many games that I keep coming back to years down the road. I always load up Crysis and Crysis Warhead when I upgrade my machine, just to see how they run now; given that my 980ti will be arriving next week, looks like I'll be doing that again in short order. I'll probably end up playing thought both campaigns too, because why not?
What specifically do you dislike about GO? Like Poofy, I found it to be all win, except losing a lot of my community-made maps.

I really enjoyed FC2 as well, although not as much as FC3. While, some of the mechanics are negative (no fast travel, respawning enemies) I don't really understand the hate it receives.
The only things I disliked really were the insta-respawns which break immersion and the silly ending. FC3 was far too cartoony and consolish for my tastes.

Lords of the Realm 2
Lords of Magic
D2
SC
Civ 4 (I used to play 2, but in the end the install is to much a hassle these days)

Morrowind and KOTOR are fun, but I usually end up playing something else that I have not played before instead as I don't have as much time for gaming as I used too.

I gave up getting WC2 to work, it never seemed to happy with my win 7 system even following the advice I found online to make it work, otherwise that would be on my list as well.

I've been jonesing to open up WC2 again. It's been ages. I think I also might have been the only one to enjoy Total Annihilation: Kingdoms. I'd like play it once more. 🙂

There still is an online war 2 community at server.war2.ru! Check it out

I too enjoyed Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, it was actually fun to play in a LAN unlike some of the more "successful" RTS titles.

Did you ever try Seven Kingdoms & Seven Kingdoms 2: The Fryhtan Wars? They both brought refreshing takes on RTS at a time when RTS was still growing.

I generally find I like to go back and play games that I played when I was young. Not sure if its just a comfort thing.

So Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate games, Deus Ex...played each of these at least 4 times.

Zelda ocarina of time
Final fantasy x
GTA San Andreas
Half life 2
Super Metroid
Zelda Parallel worlds
Skyrim
Super Mario World

Any Serious Sam (usually when I finish a game I don't come back to it. I make an exception for SS)
TF2
Smite and HotS
M&M Heroes VI
Civ IV & Civ V

I used to go back to play GTA3 and GTA:VC annually. I'd probably still do it, but I don't have the time any more, plus the Steam backlog.

If I live to retirement age, I will never be bored! 🙂

Counter strike!!! I still play it too. But only with bots. Haha. 1.3 version. Hahaha.

Im still looking for privates servers of Flyff and log onto my main character in Rohan blood Feud. Old but gold.

I just needed a break, something I could play in short spurts, and needed guns. Lots of guns.

You just want mindless shooting of hordes of enemies then, no thinking just sending baddies to their graves. I'd highly recommend the Painkiller games for this and also the Serious Sam. No story to speak of just lots of fun weapons and mindless blasting enemies, something perfect for short bursts of high energy fun to break up longer and more complicated gaming sessions.

Actually that really makes me want to play painkiller again, that really is a fantastic game.

Mainly WoW :/
I usually play for 1-3 months every major patch or expansion.

I tend not to revisit many games these days. I get hooked and play the hell out of them or don't, and either way have little desire to play again. There are so many games now and every year my play list grows...

Aside from WoW there are a few exceptions. Shogun 2, Diablo 3 come to mind.
