What did you want to do and have you gone through with your plans?

I had many dreams, am fulfilling a few.
 
I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character... or their Pokemon collection.
 
1. Work in some software engineering classes
2. Finish MS in CS
3. Learn Mandarin or Hindi
4. Get MBA in International Business
5. Get job at an outsourcing firm
6. Learn their ways
7. Find investors
8. Start own outsourcing firm
9. .......
10. Profit!
11. Sell outsourcing firm
12. Become philanthropist like great-grandfather after retirement
 
I wanted a wife, a real job, a house, and kids. I have all of that now.

My goals now are to pay off our short term debt over the next year and a half, and get a basic $25-30k emergency fund saved.

Longer term goals are to pay off the house, student loans, and substanitally increase our savings in the next eight and a half years.
 
do something, anything that is deemed important enough to move society forward. I just havent figured out what it is I need to do
 
1. Finish my BS in Business and Information Systems
2. Get my Masters in Economics
3. Take over the East Coast
4. Own a Beach house on the Jersey Shore
 
i wanted to marry my ex and have a kid or two... well i did accomplish part one of that, but it all fell apart... thank God we didn't have kids before the split... so now my main goal has changed to basically kicking ass on my own, which i do without even trying, so... yeah

short term goals - fix my front lawn to make it look better this year, stay out of trouble, do right by my family and friends, be happy, enjoy life, be kind to people, be a good friend, fix family and friend computers and ask for nothing in return, clean off a bunch of old junk from my desktop PC, bring the BBQ up to the top portion of the back deck, continue letting my brother live here rent-free until he saves up enough cash to buy his own place

long term goals - finish my basement, meet that special someone again

i have been at my job for almost 11 years... career-wise, i am very satisfied *check*
i have an awesome house which i have been able to pay for on my own *check*
