What are your ~10 favorite sci-fi spaceships of all time? Why?

NASA Space Elevator.

What? It's Sci-Fi and will remain that way a very long time despite what optimistic internet arm-chair scientist spunk trumpets that are optically, mentally, sexually and cognitively challenged say.

Or

What? Too soon?

i don't have a penis. although that technicality aside, i have two kids. means i have had sex at least twice. how about you stop being a judgmental jerk-hole? liking sci-fi enough to know what ships you like is no big deal. 🙄

...now...designing your bedroom like the inside of one with a bed in the shape of one...that's another story...😉

Perhaps responses should be limited to ships significant enough to have their own names.

Yeah because when you are championing fictitious ships, you have to set boundaries. 🙄

Another vote for Epoch from Chrono Trigger as number one. It is a tiny craft, but being so modular and the time travel aspect is quite neat. Always had a soft spot for the Millenium Falcon, and many ships in the Star Wars universe. Not really a huge sci-fi fan overall, but also not a fan of the buzzkill brothers either, so had to post.

Odyssey - Stargate SG-1. Nifty ship, even if the 304-class did immediately grind to a halt, in empty space, once its engines cut out. 😀

Enterprise-D. I grew up with TNG. I had the Star Trek Technical Manual. I was genetically predisposed. What do you want from me??

Hiigaran Battlecruisers in Homeworld 2. (I'm sure the crews named each one. 😛) Salvage Corvettes were also nice - they always brought me such thoughtful, heavily-armed gifts.

If you're asking people to list their 10 favorite sci-fi space ships, you're really just challenging them to list 10 that they can remember.
...
10 they can remember? Keep in mind what forum you're on.
Prometheus
Odyssey
Daedalus
Apollo
Korolev
George Hammond
Beliskner (sp?)

Ok, there's 7 ships just from Stargate. (There was another 304, given to China...I can't remember its name though.)

Why do you people know this?
And yet if someone were to name 100 football players, they would be awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

🙁

I was just saying that we should probably say "Millenium Falcon" or "Slave I" instead of "TIE Fighter."

Sorry, I am actually a big fan of your war on bad grammar, but I think my opinion was soured in the Hume thread, which I kind of wish they would delete at this point. Between the whining of the internet scour team, and you and CZroe's tirades (in text form) I think it has missed it's purpose. I do not frequent imgur, reddit or 4chan. Frankly I find it hard to believe so many others have time to complain about reposts, graphics/CPU hardware, playing games, and their 6 figure job all at the same time, yet a huge percentage of our forum base does just that.

It comes across as a joke, and I have to wonder some times, how much is true. I quit my job a couple months ago, and have been able to rest on savings, but it also has been able to give me lots of access to this forum, which I am finding out is a very bad thing, because there are lots of terrible people here. Not that you are one of those terrible people, but I have a very good memory, and I remember to not take the internet too seriously first, and afterwards how I present myself as true to life as I can on these forums. (Plus google assistance of course)

Well let's see. If the spelling nazi programs it, it might work. If an apostrophe abuser programs it the program will likely crash, or won't even compile in the first place. My money's on the grammar/spelling whiz.

Curses.

Foiled again.
