What is everyone using to cool their new AMD 64 CPUs (754)????

What is the best choice for under $50???

What is quiet and cools the best (not for overclocking)????

Which is the choice to overclock that doesn't sound like a vacuum or spill water on my motherboard??

Fire away lets hear what people are using... reply with motherboard and Max/Min CPU temps??

I'm using an Alpha PAL8150 (pics). My temps aren't really relevant unless you plan to use the same motherboard that I do, since motherboards vary in calibration. Suffice it to say they're just fine, even with a quiet fan :) If you aren't going to OC then a stock retail one might be just the ticket, particularly if you enable Cool 'n Quiet.

I have a Zalman AlCu 7000 on low mode 1400RPM and 1 120mm case fan on low mode 1300 RPM in my Antec P160. My temps never go above 58C in full load. Idle temps with Cool & Quiet are 35C, and the nice thing is I can barely hear my comp :)

This is what my friend just got fx53 939 chip BUt if thats not enough look what he cools it with Cooler. I forget the name of the case but there is a refrigerent compressor in there. If thats not enough he just had a copper tube machined to hold liquid nitrogen. My friend needs overclockers anon.

Thermalright SLK 948U is best A64 heatsink atm, then its up to your preference for performance/noise as to which fan you chose to go with it.

There is a new Thermalright Heatsink coming out for the A64 with Heatpipes (like the SP-97) at the end of the month.
