My loathing for Blockbuster is percolating to overflowing. I went there with my 2-for-1 rental coupon during lunch to rent Halo Wars and got the last case on the shelf! Except that they didn't actually have more copies in stock. The BB employee then proceeds to tell me that they had a line of people waiting Tuesday when they opened to rent Halo Wars.

Wait, what? When SFIV came out, I went to this same Blockbuster on a Tuesday and they didn't have any copies in stock. When I questioned a clerk about this and when would they get in copies of SFIV, he stated that they never get new game releases on Tuesday...only on Fridays. So, here it is a Friday and I'm being told they had copies of Halo Wars on Tuesday.

On top of that, they didn't have any copies of Star Ocean or H.A.W.X. Bastards.

So, with that dampener placed on my weekend, here's what I'll be playing instead:
Call of Duty: World at War (hey, they had it in stock!)
Forza 2 (got to get ready for Enduro Race!)
Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena Demo
Wheelman Demo
Rayman Raving Rabbids on the Wii
and Mario vs Sonic Olympics (got it for the kids which means I'll be playing too)
 
I'm playing through Tales of Vesperia at the moment with some Killzone 2 and MLB 09: The Show on the side. Those 3 will keep me busy for awhile.
 
If SF4 arrives tomorrow I'll give it a whirl. If not it'll be Forza or maybe I'll throw in CoD 4 for good measure.
 
im going to bitch and complain about killzone2 but i will play again to give it a third chance.

and i am going to try and beat stranglehold
 
I'll probably be doing some work this weekend, so not sure how much time I'll have for games, but I'll likely be playing:

Killzone 2, Wheelman demo, Wanted demo, Riddick demo
Possibly Flower, Mother 3 and/or Yakuza 2
 
Ar Tonelico 2, it looks like. I might try to get in some Culdcept Saga if I'm feeling brave.
 
Well, I finished KZ2 and want to play again on Elite, but I loaned the game out to my brother... so that will have to wait. So I'm going to play some Prince of Persia, Star Ocean, and the Riddick demo.

I've had PoP since Christmas, but didn't start playing it until a week ago, but then KZ2 launched I switched over to that. Star Ocean I've got in from Gamefly. I'll see if it can hold my attention. If not, I'll send it back and try to get Halo Wars.

You should get Killzone2 man, it's actually VERY good for the most part.
 
Just beat Super Mario Galaxy, next up to gamefly... Metroid Prime 3.

For the weekend: L4D, Fallout 3, The Witcher, Raving Rabids TV party, World of Goo
 
depends on if hollywood Video has H.A.W.X for ps3 or not..

if they do, that.. If not.. more sf4.

And of couse, mario kart..


edit: Gamefly says they sent mirrors edge my way at the beginning of the week but I haven't seen it yet.

That would be a brilliant selection if I had a PS3. 😛 lol And no, I'm not getting one. I like my testicles where they are...
 
Star Ocean (360) and maybe... huge maybe here... maybe if UT3 downloads via Steam for that free weekend crap. Not getting my hopes up for that though since the servers are getting pounded from all sides.
 
I'll probably put in a bit of time with SFIV, Flower, and maybe Noby Noby Boy - the GF has been playing that while I'm sitting here doing work, and it looks extremely bizarre. I had a big WTF look on my face when she received the "space squirrel" trophy 😕
 
My blockbuster has been just as bad with games lately too.

I'll be playing Street Fighter 4 and maybe some GTA4:L&D
