Also look into Forged Alliance Forever(?) mod. Brings tons of maps and online play back. Thanks!
I haven’t used it in years so I am not certain how active it is.
It was steam compatible:

Yeah - already found that to figure out why I was getting a black screen on startup. The map packs look excellent - but I'll start over with the base maps first. Don't think I've played this in a decade. Also look into Forged Alliance Forever(?) mod. Brings tons of maps and online play back.

Crap I may join you. Be fun to revisit. We can play some two player co-op missions.Yeah - already found that to figure out why I was getting a black screen on startup. The map packs look excellent - but I'll start over with the base maps first. Don't think I've played this in a decade.
I’ll keep your offer in mind. First, I need to figure out how to beat the computer players, or I’ll be uselessCrap I may join you. Be fun to revisit. We can play some two player co-op missions.
Got a ton to do so no guarantees
It would be nice but I read they cut the content for a few reasons (time contraints and issues with new engine) so I doubt they are going to add the original content back. I would absolutely love that, but I don't see it happening. They even cut a lot of content from the DLC Separate Ways where you play as ADA for seemingly the same reasons.Maybe they will expand it later with DLC?
The boss fights have been improved, though if you look on the Steam discussions it's nothing but people bitching about the boss fights. I think they massively improved all of them - even the Del Lago fight and the Lord Saddler fightThe original really was long. I remember I got to the top of some tower and then there was a super baddie there that I couldn't take out. I think I gave up after a few retries. The Remake should hopefully be a breeze for me. I do remember hating the graphics and dull colors (especially in comparison with the earlier games with beautifully rendered static backgrounds) so that's going to be another plus for me with the Remake to experience it in modern graphics.
I want to grab this SS4 game but still to expensive waiting for a steam sale.Serious Sam 4 . Got it on a huge discount offer.
So much fun, blasting away.
Me while gaming with a major old school wild west accent :
"

Bringing them crazy ass bitches some fine blue bean stew !
Sure ain't got time to bleed son.

I do turn off the music while gaming. Way too distracting. Much more fun with just the sound effects only.
I started Deathloop. It’s okay but I don’t like having to play all the way through a level to get it to save progress. It’s not that I’m getting killed, it’s that it means I have to have a long block of time to play it. One can’t play for twenty minutes here and there because one would have to start the level over next time.

This was my biggest issue after building my new PC because I tried to play my old save and I was zooming across the wasteland but so was everything else. I actually surprised me how many games will tie the in-game physics or features to the framerate.Always play my first run of a game vanilla, no mods (even if only to figure out what mods I actually want or need) and holy hell the physics and even jumping animation being tied to framerate is definitely one of the more rage inducing elements of this game (Even vanilla Skyrim didn't have this issue for me). I've frame-capped myself in drivers to 59 fps and I've come realize how spoiled I am by 144 fps/hz.
yup turn off the music, and play somafm groove salad ... way better.I do turn off the music while gaming. Way too distracting. Much more fun with just the sound effects only.
