Read somewhere that they will use the same nest for 3 years or so. Last year, I had an "idea" where the nests were but never saw one.

You have to be systematic about it. Cut down everything that isn't a nest until you find it.

We had one last year one tree over that resulted in two new birds. We were surprised and happy to have another.

I don't know shit about birds but I now have binoculars and spend 20 minutes most afternoons bird watching. Starting to settle in to that old man life.

was talking to my former boss who's looking to retire July 2019.

His job is so cushy. He admits he rarely does anything. He probably works 1 to 3 hr a day. (Yes often 1). The company is huge and they dont care much.

I envy his retirement.
