What are you going to do with your tax return (if your getting one that is)?

I was thinking about building my mother a new computer - or putting it towards a motorcycle.

What are my other fellow nerds intending to do with their tax returns?

What is this "return" you speak of?

I will more than likely end up owing, between State & Federal, about $6-7000. :|

reserved for my little girl's tuition.🙁 and if i'm lucky enough, i'll buy me a decent digi cam.

Same as pinoy - tuition for my daughter. Anything left will be saved for a new ac unit and/or for new siding for my house.

Usually I buy computer stuff, this year I'm probably going to redo my bedroom and house stuff

Oh right. Tax return. Yay!

I'll send them out as soon as my T4's are ready. I should be getting back quite a lot. I'll see if I can either get a better laptop or build a new system.

Or there's always the option of saving...

I Should get about 3k Back, About 1400 is going to Pay off my Truck & The Other 1600 is Going to Give my Car a Little TLC (Tune up & a Couple Very Minor problems), Sport Lowering Springs, Performance Exhaust, & Cool Air Intake.... After That if I Have Anything Left I Would Like to Get an Aftermarket ECU for my car, But Probably WOnt Have enough Left...

<< wait.....you get money back?

BTW, Rossman, did you get an avtar sex change operation?

No and Yes.

The government has decided that my tax returns will be used towards the $2500 I owe them due to them sending me benifits for college even after I had dropped out. I told them when I dropped out and they were supposed to stop sending me checks for $606 that I was getting monthly due to my father being a disabled Vietnam vet, but they never stopped coming in and I never stopped cashing them.

It's totally my fault and I suppose I owe them, although they would likely never get their money had they not started to attaching my tax returns, because they know legally they have no leg to stand on and in civil court it would cost them more than I owed to prosecute me, and I guess they were not willing to risk losing so they took the path of least resistance and hit me where it hurt.

Last year I was waiting on a nice $1500 tax return and I notice that it's listed as being processed and is about to be sent to me when bam, refund being withheld, call to find out particulars. I already knew what I was told when I called and here I sit, having to file for my taxes knowing full well my refund is going to be intercepted until the balance is paid off, probably next year.
