What are you getting your gf/wife for this holiday?!?

As a girlfriend I know guys can rarely go wrong with jewelry - but usually gf/wives drop subtle hints - talking about what they need or if they complain about something that could be alleviated with a special gift "ie. my ipod is hard to hold when i go out jogging" <-- get her an ipod case she can strap to her arm.. or something to that effect -

now I've gotta turn the question around - I've got a boyfriend who complains about his laptop bag hurting him a lot so I want to get him a nice laptop backpack - does anyone have any suggestions??
 
She doesn't want anything. We don't buy each other gifts just because the calendar says we're supposed to, we buy what we want when we want it. So anything I bought her would be something she didn't really want, or she would have bought it already.

I'll buy her flowers though.
 
taking her out to dinner, then to godiva afterwards. probably take in a movie as well. also getting her some nice jewelry.

unfortunately i cant say anything more because i have a feeling she'll read what i say (she checks AT periodically).
 
I hate buying xmas presents. I don't have a clue what i'm going to get my GF. Maybe some hair straighteners, I don?t know.
