a lot of people think the v-looking settings are the best for equalizers. you'll actually find the best results by setting the EQ flat across the board and then boosting cutting depending on what type of music you listen too. turning it on also helps too
i have the party preset goin the others have just too much bass bass is good but not on a Sarah McLachlan song and when it isnt sposed to hit that hard.
I leave it off. No eq. Sounds good to me on my headphones. I've messed with it before but never could find anything I liked that sounded good w/ the headpones.
My amplifier is set to 2 for bass and 4 for treble (on a -5 to 5 scale) ... and my equalizer-booster (or whatever it is called) is set more in a V shape, execpt for the 16khz which is a little bit lower than the 8khz
