Laphroag. Finally got around to trying a bottle.

Still prefer Lagavulin, but this is good.

There's no such thing as bad scotch over $25 per bottle. It boils down to personal taste at that point :^)

I'll go along with that, but Johnny Walker red label is definitely bad Scotch, and it's darn near $25 a bottle.

Is it? I think the last time I priced it, it was in the $19 range. The Red's not terrible, but it makes a better mixer when you care too much to use complete garbage :^D

Water at the moment, but tonight it'll be the last of the hoegaarden in my fridge and if I'm still thirsty the gordon biersch hefeweizen sitting in there.

I never mix Scotch, other than with water.

The thing that amazes me is Patron. I just can't see paying that kind of money for Tequila.

I'm not a big tequila drinker, but I like it on occasion. My favorites(limited experience) are Tres Generaciones anejo, and 1800 anejo. I'd be comfortable paying up to $50 for a good tequila. My scotch allowance goes a good bit higher than that :^)

I don't mix scotch either. Maybe just a bit of water for a cask strength scotch. I was thinking more for company. I'd rather put out JH Red for mixing than plastic bottle Claymore :^D That crap's foul :^S

It is ungodly expensive, but it is still my favorite. Anything I like more is more expensive too.

I had some friends over for poker a few weeks ago, and put out a bottle of Macallan. One of the guys started mixing it with orange soda.

It was killing me. I finally couldn't take it any more and brought out some White Horse for him. I told him he'd never taste the difference in his soda.

I know it was a little rude, but I just couldn't watch him waste good Scotch like that.

I don't blame. People have killed for lesser offenses :^D

I've never even heard of that combination, scotch and orange soda, sounds disgusting. To each his own, but you weren't rude.

Real men drink, they don't compare high heels.

I finished my last bottle of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout yesterday, but picked up some $2 Charles Shaw wine, so I'm drinking that right now.
