This one's 67% abv. I love absinthe but only with plenty of water over a sugar cube! Absinthe cocktails just don't work for me.
Well, I haven't tried one that I want to drink alone, but maybe if I had a truly fancy one I might see the light.

What I have now is "Lucid." One of a few I can find where I live, it's not super popular here.

I made a dark and stormy with some fancy rum (yes I found a new Welsh distillery) but turns out that my standard brand of ginger beer has added artificial sweetener to their cans and now I can't drink it! 😔

You have Fentimans over there. Why would you use anything else?
Yeah. I just usually get old Jamaica, it's fiery and what I've drunk since I was a kid.
Guess I'm buying the fancy ginger beer now!

BTW. That new distillery I found in Wales does the most amazing single grain whisky that's aged in casks from one of the Speyside distilleries. It's seriously my favourite whisky!

Got a name for that distillery(probably 30 characters long, and looks like the printer lost all their consonants :^P )?

My stash from Da Mhile!
From left. The apple brandy is fantastic, it's the first thing I tried from there. Tastes like a classic french calvados. Lots of bruised apple flavour, light aging so not much oak and a fresh fruity taste!
The rum is interesting. I normally get a navy rum. This very much isn't that. Much lighter, and oak aged. It's full of flavour.
The whiskey is super interesting.its a single grain rather than a single malt so it should be light but it's aged in Laphroaig casks so has that peaty, smokey flavour. Pretty amazing really.
Absinthe is great. If you've only had fashion absinthe this isn't it. 67% abv so you aren't drinking it neat! Lots of water and maybe a sugar cube and all the flavour of the herbs comes out. Fantastic for a long drink in the garden!
And the limoncello! Well it's limoncello. Tastes of zesty lemons without too much sugar. Wife loves it!
