Um, ew.

Whatever floats your boat I guess, my beer isn't premium.

What's wrong with that? Rum & Coke (aka the Cuba Libre) is a classic cocktail. Not sure I'd use Coke Zero though. Genuine Havana Club (not the stuff that's sold in the US) is also one of the better rums out there. It's the key ingredient form an authentic mojito.

For some reason diet type cokes (and pepsi) go horribly with rum.

Full fat coke and rum is fine (not sure I'd use a mixer with a Havana Club though).

Yeah, was the Coke Zero thing really threw me a bit I guess.

This also, I'd be drinking that rum straight up.

Just water right now.
(Trying to sober up after a wild evening last night down at the Yard House).

(I even gulped down a half yard-it's a 32-oz tall glass-of Kona Longboard Lager.)

Tonight I made a couple of drinks for the myself and the missus. A Saratoga (rye, brandy, sweet vermouth and bitters) and a Jack Rose (applejack, lime juice and homemade grenadine). Both were pretty fabulous, though I was surprised that my wife opted for the richer Saratoga over the fruity sweetness of the Jack Rose. But I could drink a few dozen of either, so win-win.

i'm in from 7pm to 7am, and here in scotland you cannot buy alcohol until 10am; atwhich time i'm already in bed; if it weren't for the amount of coffee i drink between aforementioned 7am and 7pm.

so i bought two cans of guinness original
Guinness_Original_440CAN.jpg

and stashed them in the woods;

woods you say?

well, it's scotland so we have +woods and -concrete.

anyway, woods are nice and nearly zero celsius tonight so i should find the two guinness nicely chilled waiting for me when i get out of here ... in another 2 hours and a half.
(no alcohol at work on penalty of being fired on the spot)

also, have the last drops of a bottle of bourbon at home, and some ice.

I don't know why, but I don't like Coke out of a bottle or can anymore. Just don't taste that good. Out of a machine is still amazing. I love Coke Zero and Diet Pepsi more than all others -- Diet Coke tastes weird... Give me can or bottle of Coke Zero and I will suck on it until my throat burns.

Something about aspartame being many times sweeter than coke and highly addictive.

tonight (thats 8am for me) i'm drinking a random bottle of cheap italian wine.
and then i'm on holiday for a month and a half. hue.
