In honor of the World Cup being held in Brazil, I went out and bought some Leblon Cachaça and made myself a Caipirinha. It's delicious. It's ridiculously hard to spell or pronounce Cachaça or Caipirinha, but that makes it a great bar drink; when you've had too many, you're no longer physically able to order them. "Let me get the cape piranhas with the Chaka Khan." Nope, done.

how do you mash the fruit properly?

I have a wooden muddler that's perfect for mashing fruit. You have to do it for a long time to get the sugar to dissolve properly (I'm using turbinado sugar which is far coarser than your average granulated white cane sugar), but between the muddler and the coarse sugar, the limes turn to pulp in fairly short order. Actually, the biggest problem is getting overzealous and splashing lime juice out the other side of the glass. I haven't actually tried muddling in additional fruit; I may try that later tonight.

He was Paul Scholes Uncle and I was never a Soccer fan, I used to play Pirates of the Burning Sea or whatever that was called, was in a British guild that I joined up with at the time. The Furians, we had several ship of the lines at the time. Was a different name there though, I usually use Mong Grel. I mentioned that name they thought I was lying at first working with his Uncle at the time.

Still is pretty good beer, just was a small story there to go along with who turned me onto trying it I guess.
