Drank shots of soju last night.

I seriously don't know how Koreans drink this stuff. It's watered down vodka.

I've been playing with gin and tonics this weekend. I've come across some tasty combos.

1) Rosemary and cucumber g&t.
Muddle 2 slices of cucumber with a small sprig of fresh rosemary, the juice of one wedge of lime, and a ounce of beefeater 24.
Strain into a glass of ice, add one more ounce of gin, and top with 4oz of Q tonic. Stir.
Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of fresh cucumber.

2) Grapefruit Basil g&t
Muddle 1 leaf of fresh basil and 1 segment of grapefruit (no skin) with 1 oz of beefeater 24 gin.
Strain into a glass of ice and add 1 more ounce of gin.
Top with 4oz Q tonic, stir, and garnish with a segment of grapefruit (no skin).

3) Lime and orange g&t.
Start with 2 lime wedges squeezed into a glass. (place the husks of lime in the glass)
Fill glass with ice, 2oz bluecoat gin and 4 oz Q tonic.
1 dash of orange bitters.
Stir.

Just finished my dinner and an enjoying a glass of cabernet sauvignon. I swear this particular wine maker has the qualities of a 30+ dollar bottle yet is only 10. It's so good I don't want to give out it's name for fear of the price getting driven up lol.

2012 Noble Vines 667 Pinot Noir. It's going very well with my homemade Hungarian Mushroom Goulash. 🙂

I've been getting into the saison styles... in quite a resurgence from what I read. Be careful, they're akin to IPAs in that they can be quite the acquired tastes.
