This is another Engineer-style thread 🙂

I just bought a Zalman Flower cooler (Top of this page) so now I can run my PC 24/7 instead of from when I wake up to when I turn in at night! 😀

What are YOU doing for your team?
 
I am running both of my XP1800 Clocked (OC'ed 1600 and 1700) 24/7. It's about all I can do!!!
 
My case is being tweeked a bit so in the meantime I had to put my stuff in an old mini tower. It gets really hot so I am running seti only in the evening for a few hours. I am putting my tower back together this weekend and I can start the 24/7 crunch. I am also trying to get it set up on my daughter's PC. No modem not networked. Is there a way to download the data for it and put on a disk to transfer back and forth?
 
How about donating your life? <That's what my family says I'm doing!> HA! LOL
 
Trying to keep my fleet afloat, I have 3 rigs that are Idle do to lack of places to put them one is down with a bum controller and the memory for the controller should hopefully be here today.

I try to keep away from the forum as much as possible, since it uses precious cycles for my seti machine 😀
 
I just bought a router so I can get a couple more computers going. I also e-mailed a computer store in town that I frequent🙂 and asked them if they would run SETI on their computers. I believe I might be able to convince 1 more person to join shortly.
 
I am in the process of building a system based on mostly parts from my house (everything except the motherboard) so I can roll it out to a user here at work. Of course, it will be running SETI!

Adding to the fleet: P3-600 @ 672 😀

Edit: The ship is in the air right now!
 
I sit there at night in front of my PC. I think about playing UT, or Serious Sam, or Max Payne, but I don't as it would hurt my SETI performance. So I just sit there in the computer chair and watch TV. (PC is in family room with TV).

Finally got all the work fleet back up and running, putting out ~39WUs per day. 😀 Including an AMD classic 500mhz that's average is 20.5hrs per WU. 😀

Plan on getting a PC or two at home back up and running this weekend. 🙂
 
Here's what I did, I assimilated 10 PC's today. Two of them are dual processor 1.2Giggers... So that's like 12 CPUs crunching away !

EDIT:So I'm up to 15 CPUs total... oops forgot one 16.

There's a "few" more I have my eye on 😉

hmmm...
I'm running seti on 5 cpu's, helping out with as much tech support as I can here at AnandTech, adding to the recruiting threads pretty regularly and hosting a couple TA seti websites for a couple cool guys here (you know who you are)😉.

I asked a friend who admin's the computer systems at a local university if he would consider running seti on some of them for the team, he will get back to me...

UNLTuba, I have a ti-83 and some other smaller hand caculators I can send for them to use. The children need to be more efficient.:Q
