I see you're struggling with the stay at home directives.Im going to go the casino and double it.
Think of the economy.Straight into the checking account. Superfluous spending seems like a pretty bad life decision at this point.
Tell me, how exactly do you think tax brackets work?Don't forget about having to pay federal, state and local taxes as well as SS/Medicare taxes. The lucky ones won't find that the check pushed them into a higher tax bracket.
I've read at numerous places about who will qualify but nowhere have I read how the tax situation is going to be handled. So the above is not for certain but I would think that it is highly likely. I'd be amazed if it was tax free.
No way congress would let that go. Same with unemployment. IMO.If this is truly a gift and not counted as income then maybe you will not have to pay taxes.....
sadly I must agree!!No way congress would let that go. Same with unemployment. IMO.
I am sure Trump would!! That is just a hunch.....Wait, would they serious tax that? That seems so counter productive. It's like "here's $20... ok give me $10 back".

Didn't that come out of your potential return? Being 12 years ago, i surely don't remember. The 2008 stimulous checks were formally tax rebates so were not taxed. I don't know about the currently proposed checks.
