I have no idea how they were enabled. Are they safe? should i scrub my hd, and change all my passwords?

What kind of information do you have on your computer? If nothing too dramatic I wouldn't worry about it.... though you may want to do a good scan for spyware and ad-aware
 
Should not be a problem - those files are part of Windows Media Player.
