What are/were some of your favorite board games?

I loved trouble.
I also really liked the old candy land and mouse trap too.
Life is fun, so is Monopoly.
When i was little, my great aunt and I would make our own board games. Some were really cool.

Risk is great, but it's easier to play on the computer (though that does take some magic out of the game).

I like Candyland.

Mouse Trap!?! That game was the worst! It took sooo long to set up, and the pieces never sat right in the board, and it took like 5 to 10 tries to get it to actually work right, and then it was all over in less than 2 seconds, lol.

Life and Monopoly were my favorites! and Clue!

Monopoly. I did play a lot of Sorry! when I was younger. How about a poll?

I started it, but I stopped after about like 20 games because there are WAY too many to list.

Parcheesi. I picked up a board at Goodwill 4-5 years ago for $1 and my friends and I have been playing it often ever since.

Axis and Allies
Trivial Pursuit
Scene It

Risk is good, but given the choice of Axis and Allies or Risk I have to go with Axis and Allies. Wish I knew other people who were interested in playing either.

Can someone, anyone, please explain the allure of Monopoly? There's no brains, no strategy, no excitement, no nothing. It's just sitting around for hours and rolling dice as pure luck decides which way the money s-l--o---w----l------y changes hands.

Axis and Allies was great but it just took too damn long. We'd have games going on for weeks when we'd play for a bit after school sometimes.
