In the last decade we had:
- new millenium (12/31/1999 --> 1/1/2000) and fear of computers/electronics sanfu that will destroy civilization
- SARS/Avian flu/H1N1 leading to global pandemics
- LHC is going to create a black hole and destroy the earth
- 12/21/2012 as the end of the world

I'm sure there are other things that I've forgotten but when does the doomsaying end?

So what are we suppoed to die from next?

Everyone is going to die. That's a mathematical certainty. You just have to live with that. What I don't understand is why people worry about the inevitable and not be thankful for what they have in front of them?

Worry, fear, and war (not to mention boredom!) are by far the bigger pestilence than any virus or terrorist or political party can be. And unlike those aforementioned things it's actually something YOU have control over. (for the most part) A good attitude is like a solid foundation of a building that lasts forever. Learning how to use it is far better than anything you may learn in a classroom. ;)

We're headed for global civil war with massive casualties. Those who think Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time will try to hack down all who disagree. There will be blood in the streets.

100% chance of death from time passing. True fact.

Unless of course you get smeared by a truck at age 12. In which case you didnt die from time passing but rather a grill, passing through your cranium. In which case its not 100%.

I suspect with our poor health relatively few Americans die from old age. I think heart disease is number 1, and thats totally preventable.

The next big death fad? Stupid human superstitions, just like every other one of them that's supposed to "end the world." Morons.

electro magnetic radiation from electric vehicles. (Prius) the eco-KOOKS know about it and are hiding in their stew of green slime waiting for the right time to ring their alarmist bell. As the number of vehicles increase, the EMR field radiation will increase. just think of all those building and collapsing fields from AC drive propulsion.
