What are u going to do if u have $200,000 ?

Pay off my current bills and buy a house.

$200K is not that much cash...well it is...but it's nothing to retire on.

I'd pay off my student loans, buy the fiance the car she wants. Pay down 20% on my exising home (which I own about 5% of right now).

Fund my Roth IRA this year.

With the remainder. I'd invest all of it in stocks. Do about $13k to $17K per company for a ttotal of about 15 total companies. Nice diversified portfolio.

Almost forogt. Have to keep some cash laying around for when Doom 3 comes out. I'll need a new rig at that point.

Sure. But it will take a few hundred to go to the lawyer to have the will changed to reflect it. And I might not want to wait that long so you'd better be around to catch the cash when it drops.
